How will Democrats be able to stop the huge shale gas production fields?

The last thing Democrats want is several hundred years of available production of cheap, clean burning natural gas. Natural gas cost is half what it was in '08 and production is increasing exponentially. If Democrats lose control of energy production there will be rampant prosperity and we can't have that! How can we shut down this evil, dangerous gas production!
