How to get closer to god + the spiritual world ?!?

hi i am tiff and i am 19 years old. i have never been in religious environments and i have no religion. even though always been curious about god etc.. but for the past 6 months i have been really believing in god and afterlife and karma and anything spiritual exites me and i could talk about spiritual things all day long. anyways i always want god to reach me some how and always try and have outta body experiences... is there any way i could get closer to god or closer to the spiritual world ?? or any prayers i could say that would help in my situation???
